What to expect at triage?

My midwife is sending me to triage for a scan as baby may be breech. I just wondered what to expect as I haven't been before. Is it similar to a&e waiting room and experiences?

You will be seen within about 15 minutes to assess how urgent it is for you to be seen by a doctor then seen by a doctor when they can depending of what else is happening at the time. How many weeks are you? If not full term yet I'm surprised she didn't just arrange a follow up scan in a few days instead of sending you to triage.

They will do an ultrasound to see which way baby is lying and make recommendations based on that.

Triage is odd for a breech presentation, IME, unless you are showing signs of being in labour?

Breach or transverse? I’ve been sent to triage before because of transverse lie (as it’s more complicated than breach).

The process has always been great, whatever the issue!
