Progesterone / Cyclogest - how far in?

Could be the silliest question, could not be but I'm a week in - first time using them and I feel raw 🥸

I've just googled and some say:

  1. one inch in to avoid irritating cervix
  2. as far as your finger can comfortable go
  3. as close to the cervix as possible.

I've been going for option 3 which I think has created my rawness, grey ish discharge and then finally some pink spotting last night 😭

Now I'm considering the backstage option, I'm thinking just inside the gates? That's definitely foreign territory to me 😬

Torn between this sounding like the most ridiculous post ever but genuinely need to know the consensus on this one 😅

I physically couldn't stand the discomfort Cyclogest caused me vaginally. When I did it very high up it irritated my cervix. When I did it lower the excess came out and literally burned my vulva and I could barely walk with the pain (TMI I know). So rectally all the way in my opinion!! Pressure sensation for literally 2 seconds and then gone! No after effects whatsoever. The joys😂 Best of luck with it!

I did 2 I always had leakage but just accepted it as part of using them ,land assumed I had absorbed what I needed and what leaked was just the binding ingredients as such

Exactly this, I have been on them almost a week now and this is what I have been doing. No idea if it’s right but I haven’t had any side effects so far 🤞 (except for the chalky leaking!)
