Expecting DC2 in a couple of months and I fully intend on leaning into the breastfeeding box sets this time (around juggling DC1 obviously!) so give me all your must watch TV series please!

I did How I Met Your Mother with DD1 and House with DD2.

During the pandemic I re-watched all of Greys Anatomy, which kept me entertained for quite some time 😁

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is PERFECT for this

Also...

Mad Men
The last kingdom
The witcher (not that many seasons but...henry cavill)
The wire (old but good)

I watched the whole of ER at 11am every day with ds2.

MammaTo · 14/07/2024 20:05

I watched west wing and ER. Then come autumn done my annual rewatch of Gilmore girls. Was a great year.

PurBal · 14/07/2024 20:06

How old is DC1? Agree with How I Met Your Mother and House but I didn’t have time with DC2. 23 month age gap so lots of CBeebies.

JKnight09 · 14/07/2024 20:09

I did west wing, ER, NCIS, marvels agents of shield and deadliest catch. Only 13 months between my 2 so my first maternity leave almost ran into my second.

I really enjoyed Good girls, The Queen of the South, and Dead to me

bravotango · 14/07/2024 20:15

Gilmore girls was my fave. I also rewatched bits of greys anatomy. I'm pregnant now and this time I think it'll be SATC and game of thrones (currently enjoying house of the dragon).

This is Us
Sobbed my way through the last of them

mangobe · 14/07/2024 22:11

It was This Is Us for me too

neleh87 · 15/07/2024 06:35

I second Mad Men

Marvellous Mrs Maisel
Whatever series of masterchef is on
The Durrells was very soothing in the middle of the night
Downton Abbey

For something completely different, DP and I watched Adventure Time when DS was really small. It's a cartoon but addresses quite deep themes and is in 10 minute snippets, which was useful.

Enjoy!

Flopsy145 · 15/07/2024 12:05

Modern Family is great for this, lots of seasons.
I'll be binging Station 19, and new seasons of bridgerton and Valhalla.
Also all the Real Housewives are easy watches. And a great fall back when you have nothing else - Friends!

One I would avoid, and I made this mistake last time, was call the midwife 😂
