Sorry to hear that, I had it at 37 weeks, it's not much fun feeling poorly this far on. I hope you feel better soon.

Give your midwife a call and let her know, and she'll give the best advice for you. And she might advise you ring your hospital birthing centre to make them aware/get advice too, that's what I did but I was a bit further along.

I had COVID at 31 weeks, everything was fine. Midwife acted like she didn't even know why I was telling her.

How long did it take for you to feel better ?

Worst of it was 2-3 days and after a week I was pretty much back to normal.

Unfortunately I didn't get much rest as DH and our toddler also had Covid too, typical eh.

Good luck x x

I think mine was more bothered about catching it when I had my next appointment so I tested again before seeing her, but she did give some advice on when I should see the doctor if symptoms developed.

@Kiwi23 I think the hypothetical risk to baby as I understand it is that you will struggle to get enough oxygen and then they will too. So when I had it I figured if it wasn't really going to my chest things would probably be ok. If you start to feel short of breath or anything like that, ring the midwife or take yourself to obstetric triage.

Serious illness is very rare among people who are vaccinated though so hang in there, hopefully you'll feel better soon.

Some trusts will do a growth scan once you're clear to make sure everything is ok so it is definitely worth mentioning to the midwives.

Hey! Don't worry, I had it a couple of weeks ago at 30wks. I missed out on the vaccine unfortunately as they'd stopped giving it in my area when I was 8wks. Anyway it was mild and baby is absolutely fine, yours probably will be too.

I called my midwife and left a voicemail, never heard back 🙄 if you're at all worried about your baby's movements call your hospital for monitoring.

I have a growth scan booked already for 22nd as I have to have them I’m hoping it will pass fast and not hang around this is my 4th time having it now first time was horrendous. I was bedbound for 14 days. The second two times were nowhere near as bad so hoping this would be a couple of days. X
