worried from scan photo

Hello. I had a scan today at 10 weeks 5 days and when ive come away and looked at the photo I can’t help but think the head/neck looks quite a large/strange shape and am worried that this is excess fluid or maybe what they look for when screening for Down syndrome etc? I’m obviously not trained in this so not 100% sure what I’m looking at but it just doesn’t look like other scans that are normal. The sonographer did ask a couple of times if I was having the tests done at my dating scan and so I’m wondering if that’s because she also saw something. Hope someone can help x

Your 10 week scan picture looks exactly like mine did at that stage. I too thought the head looked big. I'm now 14 weeks and everything was good at my 12 week scan and screening tests came back low risk.

Hi again, thank you for your response on this :) I had my 12 week scan yesterday and although she said things look fine on her end I’m just stressing about the blood results for the combined test. Such a worrying time isn’t it. What is it on scan images that sonographers acrually look for? I know it’s the neck for the downs test is it the same for Edwards etc or different?x

Kindly, you as an untrained person are not going to spot something on a scan photo that a highly trained sonographer with years of experience has missed.
I know that pregnancy is a worrying time but please try to relax.

I know I’m a nightmare 🤣

If there was something wrong with the scan you'd kniw about it Why look for things to worry about?
