Looking at baby swings/ bouncers for my little boy who is due 2nd Dec 2024

We only have a 1 bed property so our space is quiet tight looking for a smallish bouncer or one that may compact down to store beside the sofa when not in use

Anyone have a good recommendation on a bouncer/ swing?

ones I have seen

Honestly I'd wait and see if you can borrow or get something on Facebook, my baby didn't like any bouncers so glad I'd got them free/second hand. Just get bare minimum stuff before baby is here.

I had the baby bjorn. My babies hated it but for the second I also had a more upright one passed on and that was loved.

A long time ago I used the baby Bjorn, it has been passed amongst colleagues and was bullet proof. Easy to transport and store.

We have the Maxi Cosi one from the list above, baby initially hated it first few times we tried him in it but now at 10 weeks old its his favourite, he looks lovely and comfy in it. We got it because it can fold away too so good for space saving

We have the Baby Bjorn Bliss. It does fold down so might fit under your sofa. DC1 liked it but didn’t love it, DC2 is crazy about it and loves kicking it to get it going, sometimes at worrying speeds! Is there someone you could borrow one off to see if your DC takes to it? It’s a lot of money if you’re not sure.

Unfortunately dont have anyone we can borrow baby things from, did think maybe looking at marketplace and looking for bouncer and swing to see what he liked more

Duoe for Baby Bjorn is Smyths one. Don't go for the BB as it costs an arm and leg. Here is Smyths one: https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/baby/bouncers-swings-and-rockers/baby-bouncers/nested-gravity-baby-bouncer-grey-wood/p/225622

We had a secondhand (or more like fifth-hand) Baby Bjorn, sold it on for basically the same as we paid. Both babies really liked it. Practically, we found advantages of that style were: adjustable angle as baby grows, lightweight so easy to move around the house/garden, folds flat so easy to tuck out of the way and to travel with, and very easy to wash (pull off cover, put in washing machine, essential with our refluxy second). Some of the dupes may have the same features, though.
