39 weeks - D&V and tightening - pre labour? 🙏

Morning folks,

I’ve had a few really unsettled nights. Last night I was up with nausea from 2am and ended up vomiting what little I had ate around 8am. Stools have been very loose. Intermittent tightening of uterus but no identifiable contractions.

Clearly could be a bug and will keep hydrated but anyone had this as pre labour? Not concerned but just hoping this kick starts things….. 🙏

Previous delivery via scheduled c-section so haven’t got this far…..

Thanks for any info & congratulations to those expecting.

Not from experience but I have heard that loose stools especially are a sign, because of the increase in relaxin. Nausea is also a symptom. I'm just over 39 weeks and experiencing similar symptoms but not being sick. Good luck ❤️

Hi, I had this pre labour. I had very loose stools and often felt sick. I confused it with gas/upset tummy but I know realise that it was a sign of labour. The morning I went into labour, I thought the pain I was having was due to gas LOL!

Not experinced either. My pradomnal labour was just contractions for hours at night and early morning for 6 days pre baby arrival.

But heard that D&V can happen towards the end. All the best!
