C section pain / recovery

I had an elective c section 2 weeks ago.
Incision is healing well and other than being a little sore it's progressing well.
TMI sorry to follow!
It took a week to do a bowel movement with some "help" & then same again a few days of nothing and some sachets of laxative later I went. Worst pain ever.
What I'm experiencing now is shooting pains up my bum like I've never had before, a constant strong sore bruised type feeling in my pelvic area / ovaries.
It gets worse as the day progresses and I can't barely sit down when the spasms hit.
I also can't wee properly because of the pain, I can just about slightly squeeze it out before the pain takes over and I tense straight back up.
It's all come on since I got really constipated on about day 6.
Saw my midwife today and she said it all sounds normal but if it gets too unbearable then ring triage.
Has anyone else experienced this / has any tips for some relief?
I'm religiously alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen already.

@MaltedMilk88 Sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I’ve had 2 c sections and I can’t say that I have experienced anything like what you described. I also did a bowel movement around 24 hours after my second c section. From what I’m reading I wouldn’t say it sounds normal. Worth a visit to the gp or ask for a second opinion on it. I’m no doctor but certainly wouldn’t expect to be having to dose up on continuous painkillers 2 weeks post. Hope it gets better for you real soon x
