First pregnancy and I'm in a ldr. I'm happy to see the line progression but the anxiety and fear around losing this pregnancy is insane. I try really hard to distract myself but it comes up from time to time. Any tips on how to combat the fear? My first appt with a doctor is Monday for bloodwork and I'm assuming to check HCG levels. Pic of progression 🥲

Honestly just remember there’s nothing you can do or not do. Try and stay occupied, focus on what you can control like rest, vitamins, exercise if you feel like it. Unfortunately miscarriage is very common but the vast majority of women go on to have successful pregnancies. I’m 28 weeks now, after a MC last year. It was horrendous but we got through it.

I am the expert at this - 9 full term pregnancies and 5 miscarriages - best advice. Do NOT take another pregnancy test! You are pregnant! Nothing but nothing you do or see in a line is going to help or pre warn you of a problem!! If you really want to have a scan but I'd highly recommend not having one before 9 weeks. Obviously if there's a problem - pain/bleeding etc you'd have one through the epu but otherwise I would stay clear until 9+ weeks.
