Speed of labour

Hi ladies

I just want to check how true is it that your second is always quicker than your first.

Please tell me someone on here had a slower labour 2nd time round.

I've found out I am expecting baby no.2 and when I had my DD I was only in labour well tbf I didn't even know I was in labour my plug went at 9am waters at half 4ish that's when I left to go to hospital and she came just after 5pm (the reason i said just after was it happened that quick i was on my own with a first week trainee had no nurses/midwife so we didnt no the time so they did it to when the midwife entered the room) as I went to sit on a bean bag she flew out like superman.

Nope, sorry! First Labour 4 hours, start to finish. 2nd Labour 3h 20 mins! (But 3rd Labour longest at 4h 40!)

My second was much quicker. Sorry.

My first was about 12 hours, second was 37 minutes.

First labour 6 hours
Second labour 30 mins

DC2 labour from start to finish was 23 hours 50 minutes but only 20 minutes pushing.
DC3 was less than half that with seven minutes pushing..

First labour 30 hours to get to 5cm dilated then EMCS.

Second labour 14 hours early labour then 2 hours active labour.

2nd was way faster, sorry - but both were quick. 4.5 hours on for first, less than 3 on second.

Second was faster.

1st labour was about 8 hours
2nd 47 mins

Second was slower for me! Not by much, both were very quick (‘precipitious births’ I think was written on the notes.. an hour or so from first contraction) but second was a bit slower.
