Baby wriggling / squirming around

I’m 38+1 with a c section booked in for next Thursday. Since 4am this morning I’ve had on and off backache - triage are happy for me to stay home for now but my god my little girl has not stopped squirming / wriggling around. Not so much kicking but I feel like she’s getting into some sort of position. She’s been head down for weeks. Is this normal before Labour? Is she preparing herself? Thanks

i would say she’s getting a bit crammed inside and is trying to have a stretch bless her. My little boy was born at 38+2 and towards the end he was very active

Well she’s apparently weighing 8lb 11 so that would make sense 🫣🤣

They asked this morning if I’ve felt her move I said yes she’s been active and they weren’t concerned. She’s been more active today but I don’t know if I’m noticing it as I’ve sat down on my backside all day, usually I’m on the go. I can feel her right in my pelvic and vaginal area 🙄

Any change in movement should be checked really, I'd say give a call back and say the movements are unusual and just ask for a check, no harm done if all is well!

It might be worth just ringing to let them know you feel like her movements have increased. Any change to your baby’s normal movement pattern, let them know, they’ll probably ask you to come down to be monitored for 30 mins to check all okay. I had my baby 11 weeks ago now but this is something that my midwife really drilled into me every single appointment, any change to usual movement whether it increases or decreases, let them know x

So I’ve come into triage for monitoring and her heart rate is 160-186!! Got a feeling I’ll be in for a while
