9 + 5 - waiting for nausea to stop. When did it for you

I need something to aim for. 9 + 5 today, no energy and the nausea is making me feel low. I'm struggling through each day. When will it get better?

I'm 9+4 and wondering the same it's awful isn't it! I didn't have it half as bad with DS but by 12 weeks I felt much better so here's hoping!

15 weeks for the nausea / sickness and 20 weeks for all the food aversions for me. Cyclizine helped a lot to get me through the working day!

Sadly 27 weeks today and still nauseous and sick! I hope it is better for you.

Peonies12 · 04/07/2024 13:14

mine eased from 12 weeks, was very gradual though.

bellinisurge · 04/07/2024 13:24

Vomiting stopped about week 25. Nausea stopped 2 hours after birth

Hoppinggreen · 04/07/2024 13:33

It didn't, sorry

Kt1704 · 04/07/2024 13:38

I’m the same. Really struggling to go to work.

I think about 14 weeks for me (currently 21). Hang in there, I know it’s rough. If it helps, I survived on mini cheddars, orange squash and GinGin sweets from Holland and Barrett (sadly containing no actual gin, they’re hard ginger boiled sweets and really helped).

Statistically, weeks 9-10 are when nausea and sickness are the worst. Obviously it won't be true for everyone, but it is likely you'll start to turn a corner soon.

I felt fine by about week 13.

MyRamone · 04/07/2024 13:50

13 weeks, 19 weeks and 25 weeks - it got worse with each subsequent child. Average people get over it by about week 13-14 though.

1st time 18 weeks then felt absolutely brilliant the rest of my pregnancy.
2nd time was still vomiting in labour 🤢

TruthorDie · 04/07/2024 13:53

Week 18 for me

fashionqueen0123 · 04/07/2024 13:56

First baby I stopped feeling sick by 30 weeks but carried on vomiting until 21/22.
Second I was sick until about 30 but didn’t stop feeling ill until I gave birth. It’s horrific. It’s like having a vomiting bug which never ends.
Just eat and drink whatever you can.

That sounds horrible. any idea why it was different for the different pregnancies?

I think it’s quite common for it to get worse with each pregnancy. Needless to say I’m not having a third! :)

I noticed a slight shift from around week 10, and was much better by week 13 and able to go back to work. Don't think the nausea totally went until about 18 weeks though, but was much more manageable. Hope it eases soon for you, it really is the pits.

LBOCS2 · 04/07/2024 14:22

Week 16/17 in both pregnancies was when the worst of the nausea eased off, although I was still a bit queasy and had a more sensitive gag reflex to the end of my second pregnancy.
