Help! I took the wrong IVF medication at the wrong time!!

Please help.. I’m on cyclogest pessaries 3 times per day, 1 at 8am and 2 at 8pm. I’m also on oestrogen tablets at 8am, 2pm and 8pm. I had my embryo transfer at 2pm today and stupidly did one of the pessaries straight after by mistake! Will this harm the embryo so soon after transfer? And should I take 2 pessaries this evening or just 1??

I don’t think it will be an issue at all, I am also on 3 pessaries a day and my usual routine is one morning one afternoon and one night time on dr advice (which is essentially what you have done for today) I would suggest just one tonight to keep the dose within 24hours the same however I am no doctor so just personal experience :)

Hi @elcran1 . I also don’t think this should be an issue. I actually took my pessaries after my transfer due to timings and that was instructed. There was quite a few times when I was early or late for the pessaries due to forgetting. Like OP said, I would keep to just 1 later so it’s still the right dose.

It'll be completely fine. As with other posters I, too, do my progesterone morning/early afternoon/bedtime and it's honestly not going to be a problem that you've done so this time. Use one this evening and crack on as usual after that. Best of luck!
