Pre eclampsia signs at 17 weeks

Hello,

I've been showing early signs of pre eclampsia and have been prescribed to take asprin every day until 36 weeks.

Has anyone else had this? They've previously told me about how much of a high risk I am for bleeding, so I'm just completely panicked now and don't know what to do.

Hi OP, sorry you're going through such a worrying time. Do you mind me asking what your symptoms are? As you wouldn't diagnose pre eclampsia before 20 weeks minimum. Have you had any high blood pressure outside of pregnancy?
Aspirin is the absolute best way of preventing pre eclampsia! It stems from placental issues and Aspirin ensures good blood flow through the placenta and if you do go on to develop pre eclampsia it should be later onset and less in severity if you have Aspirin on your side.
Obviously your own doctor will know the ins and outs of your bleeding risk factors, but Aspirin is such a mild blood thinner at the end of the day the benefit should really outright any potential risk.
Best of luck with your pregnancy I hope all goes well for you.

Thank you!

My blood pressure has always been on the low side pre pregnancy.

It was 120/80 at 15 weeks and yesterday at 17 weeks it was 138/85 so is a lot higher than my usual.

I've also had a dull consistent headache since 14 weeks and blood and protein in my urine at every appointment.
