Nothing showing on scan

Hello, I had a scan today after having a positive pregnancy test to rule out ectopic pregnancy as I've been bleeding . The bleeding has now stopped after 2 days and turnt into brown discharge.Me and the hospital staff I very confused with how far along I could be as I had a normal period on 16th may and another normal period on the 13th June. My pregnancy test are coming back with a really strong line but clear blue is only saying 1 to 2 weeks. At my scan today they couldn't see a pregnancy in my womb. But the lady said this could be normal because it's to early to see anything or Ive already passed the baby?!, Ive had a blood test to check for my HGC level and I'm awaiting the result any advice? What number should I be expecting to come back to have a healthy pregnancy or prepare myself for the worst

Was your last ectopic long ago?

Hcg level and been rising slowly, I'm going in today for the injection to lose the pregnancy I had a scan yesterday couldn't see anything

@justpeachy1234 so I went today saw a consultant and they won't give me the injection because nothing be located on a scan I have to go back tomorrow to be scanned by the consultant and then we will go from there she mention a d&c but I guess I will know more tomorrow I feel like that last two weeks I have been at the hospital I'm trying to stay strong but it's so difficult

The exact same thing happened to me. One consultant said they would give me the injection (which I reluctantly agreed to) but the day when I went to get it, they said no because it wasn't confirmed ectopic.

What are your HCG levels now?

Waaaaaaaay to early for scans. Even to check for ectopic. Your looking for 6w-8w for reassurance scan but that can sometimes be early.

The number isnt important as long as it is doubling every 2 days.

It isn't doubling it was 225 302 422 the 477

Hmmm... your increases are quite slow. Which means it might burn out and miscarry naturally, which unfortunately is the best case scenario at this point.

They say you can see something on a scan at over 1,000. But I got to £2k+ and they could never see anything. I kept going for bloods and scans for weeks, my bloods jumped a few hundred every 48 hours.

Have you had any bleeding?

@justpeachy1234 I didn't end up going today I'm really struggling with appointments around work and child care it's hard to go when no one else know about the situation, I've called the unit and they are happy to see and scan me tomorrow I'm hoping everything passes naturally they have said my progesterone level when I first had my bloods done was really low to have a viable pregnancy, I'm just nervous and so scared of having to have surgery

Have you not been able to tell anyone?
I told my work and they were really good about it. They ended up giving me about a month off. All the appointments are soo frustrating. They hated me by the end because I was so grumpy about having to go so often and never getting any answers.

If your HCG keeps going up and they can't find anything by around 1,000 I would ask for exploratory surgery.
I kept holding out to see something on a scan, then I was bleeding heavily which everyone hoped with a miscarriage but my HCG kept rising. By the time I had surgery to try work out what was going on, it was too big to do anything else and they had to remove one of my tubes.

@justpeachy1234 I came for a scan yesterday and was rushed down to have my left tube removed confirmed ectopic i still in hospital resting up having my drain and cannula taking out and should be going home today x

How are you getting on? Sorry to hear you ended up having a tube removed. How do you feel after surgery?

@justpeachy1234 I feel like the hospital give you no aftercare no follow up, and I've had a few infections in the wounds but all seems to healed now,

Oh god, really? Was it keyhole? The wounds got infected? Did you feel unwell with it?

Mine healed fine.

But I think the aftercare is poor. They just sent me on my way without any follow up. They potentially have made me infertile because my remaining tube showed as blocked before. They said they would test my remaining tube but Iv chased loads and I'm getting nowhere.

@justpeachy1234 was just key hole, they took my left tube, I have no clue if my right is ok, the aftercare and follow up procedure is disgusting I went down from emgrency surgery at 5pm and by 9am the next day. It's made me scared to try for another baby because I've had 3 losses in a row now and I really don't want to lose my right tube aswell.

Have you got children already? Iv got a 2 year old so I'm weighing up if we should have another. I did really want a sibling for him, but I don't know if I could cope with IVF if my only tube is now blocked.

You can ask for a Hycosy test where they put dye in your remaining tube to make sure it's not blocked etc. that what I'm waiting for.

@justpeachy1234 i have a ten year old but my partner doesn't have children it's a very hard situation I want to try again but I don't think I'll ever be ready
