Growth scan tummy measuring big

I've been for my growth scan today and he is measuring completely fine between the 70th and 90th centile but they said his tummy is on the larger side and is on the 98th they've gave me a kit to test my blood sugars for a week. I am currently 34+4 just wondering if anyone else has been in this position and what did the next few weeks look like etc? Thank you 💕

Yes, at my 32 weeks growth scan baby was 4.10lbs and tummy over 90th percentile. I had the GD test at 24 weeks and all fine and I have no sugars in my urine. My midwife told me if baby tummy is big it’s most likely caused by diet too much carbs and sugars she said. So told me to watch what I was eating but not to go crazy. This is my second baby and my daughter also was born with a round tummy on her. I am not sure how much it has to do with diet or just how the baby is. I have cut down on the disgestives biscuits but it’s very difficult to cut out carbs when it’s the only thing that doesn’t give me heartburn! My bump is also measuring slightly over what it should be. I am nearly 36 weeks and back to midwife next week so I’ll see what she says then but she did say at 32 weeks she was close to sending me for another GD test.

Hey OP. I found out I had GD at 26 weeks and my little girls tummy has been big since - I have growth scans every 2 weeks!
They said it’s likely due to the GD. I also have Polyhydramnios which is caused by the GD.

My baby's tummy is measuring big. No GD here. Tests all clear. No one has mentioned diet change or anything and I'm 36 weeks and consultant led.
Her tummy is 97th centile! Had growth scans every two wks since 28 wks due to inconsistent leg lengths but her tummy has stayed round. Drs all very happy with it.

Same as @Nocoffeenotalkie baby's tummy is measuring big over 95th, although everything else is as well but tummy the biggest, and no GD and nothing mentioned with regards to diet change

I had this and everything was fine. Slim and perfectly In proportion nearly 6 year old currently lying in his bed.

With my youngest they said her head could be too small so I had a load of growth scans but they were wrong about that too and she is perfect.
