TW: talk of high heart rate

Hey ladies
So I’m 39 weeks today and have no twinges or anything. But during this pregnancy Iv had periods of heart palpitations & high heart rate. I first noticed it when I got Covid during pregnancy, iv had 2 ecgs done and they came back fine, just high. In doctors/hospital appointments my heart rate is always high when it’s checked, this is very much anxiety related as I dread anyone saying ‘can I check your heart rate’. At home it can be anything from 75-95, but equally if I’m worrying or watching it goes up at home too.
My question is im really worried about going into a hospital setting to give birth any day now and my heart rate is high during labour. Has this happened to anyone else?

Increased heart rate is normal during pregnancy due to increased blood volume and the extra work your body is doing. It’s under constant exercise, plus you’re carrying extra weight. Under 100 is still normal, and IME they don’t really worry about it even if it’s just over. My HR always increases when I’m unwell or for example if I’m post op, nobody has ever been concerned. Please don’t worry
