Hi everyone, I’m currently just over 5 weeks pregnant and have mo symptoms of pregnancy other than my boobs being a bit sore. I felt sick yesterday when I woke up, but then felt fine this morning. This is my 5th pregnancy. I’ve had 2 MMC and 2 chemical pregnancies. My previous pregnancies have never progressed more than 6.5 weeks and I’ve always had awful symptoms. I’m currently taking progesterone, high dose folic acid and baby aspirin. Has anyone experienced something similar? My anxiety is through the roof!

Hi OP, I'm so sorry for your previous losses and everything you've been through. It makes any subsequent pregnancy all the more difficult.

I don't know if this reassures you but I had little to no symptoms until about 7 weeks. I found myself saying 'I wish I was sick just so I knew everything was ok' and then was hit with the most horrendous sickness come 7 weeks until 17 weeks😂

Honestly prior to 7 weeks I had nothing. I remember feeling so freaked out as well. It's a horrible time not knowing what's going on. Fingers crossed for a smooth and healthy pregnancy for you🤞🏼

Hi OP
While I can’t offer any answers based on experience, I am 5 weeks and 1 day today and also not having many symptoms asides from the sore boobs, so you are not alone :)
Admittedly this is my first pregnancy so I have nothing to compare it to but I wanted to send you lots of luck.
Hopefully this thread will be reassuring for us both!

Hi,

sorry I’ve only just seen your reply! Thank you for reaching out. It’s always reassuring to hear. I now have nausea throughout the day, especially if I don’t eat every couple of hours? Like I literally feel like I’m going to be so ill, then I just at something and I’m fine, so I’m taking this as a win! 😂 other than that, I have no other symptoms.

This is something I have been worrying about constantly too ever since I discovered I was pregnant. I have felt a little nauseous a few times, but nowhere close to actually being sick, have had some breast tenderness, increased sensitivity to smell and that's about it. However, thank god, the last scan showed that all was progressing normally so I have to keep telling myself that every woman's experience of pregnancy symptoms is entirely individual, though as a naturally anxious person this is easier said than done! My mum never once suffered with morning sickness or any other significant early pregnancy symptoms with any of her three healthy and straightforward pregnancies so I try to keep that in mind too!
I have, however, had a few pregnancy symptoms which, though quite common, weren't something I had associated with early pregnancy, for me these have been chronic constipation and an asymptomatic UTI, not exactly delightful symptoms but apparently far from rare!
I am coming to the end of my first trimester and I know what a difficult and stressful time the first twelve weeks in particular can be, thinking that you should be excited but instead feeling a constant sense of worry and anxiety. I'm sorry for your previous losses and sending you all my best wishes.

Thank you for your reply. How are you feeling now? I’m getting a few more symptoms like nausea etc. I can barely feed the dog anymore or it makes me want to throw up! I also have to eat loads of small meals to stop from feeling funny. I have a scan on Monday to see if there’s a heartbeat. I’m putting it out my head, but it’s slowly creeping up!

Window to the Womb do viability scans from 6 weeks, £90. I'm sure there are others about with similar prices. Might put mind at ease?

I hope your scan goes well on Monday, OP.
You've had so many losses.

Thanks, I’ve had these in the past. There’s always a heartbeat at 6 weeks and then something happens between 6-7 weeks and the pregnancy stops progressing. I’ve opted to wait until 8 weeks this time, because it’s even more heartbreaking once you’ve seen a heartbeat. If there’s no heartbeat this time, I’d rather not know if the pregnancy was ever viable if that makes sense?

Hi I didn't have any symptoms until exactly 6 weeks and then the morning sickness started

I'm so sorry to hear that 😔

I wasn't sure if you knew of viability scans, so thought I would link one...

Hoping for the best for you

I’m the same! Starting to feel a lot more sick. Really hope this is a good sign for us both.
Sometimes I can eat a whole meal (and snacks!) other times I really struggle to eat at all.
I have everything crossed for you for your scan!
I have booked one for when I will be just under 8 weeks. I just needed to know!

I’m glad you’re getting more symptoms too. I’ve also been experiencing headaches and congestion which I didn’t even know were symptoms until I googled it! I hope your scan goes well ☺️ please keep me updated with how you get on.

Thank you for all your reassuring comments. I had a scan this morning and everything is fine. Currently measuring 7+3 ☺️ I feel relieved but also still anxious. I don’t think I’ll ever be fully calm until they’re here safe and well!

That's good news, OP.
