I'm 29 weeks pregnant and seemed to have picked up a stomach bug, I've been up the past two nights, the first one I thought was acid reflux as I wasn't sick just had reflux laying down so stayed up til 2 then felt fine if tired yesterday but last night I started feeling the same except it turned into constant nausea no matter how many times I was sick, stomach griping and diarrhea. I didn't sleep til after 3 and woke up just before 5 to stomach pains again. I know throwing up won't hurt the baby but he has been moving ALOT last night

Baby will be fine. I throw up violently all the time due to HG with this pregnancy (34 weeks) and DS and they’re both fine.

Keep your fluids up as you'll be losing more than usual. I'd just make midwife aware as they'll know if you need anything else, very unlikely there's a problem though so don't worry but always best to let professionals confirm

Baby will absolutely be OK, this can't affect them at all. Only thing to keep an eye on is dehydration, which can affect them. I have vomiting bug at 30 weeks preg and my GP said my urine showed I was dehydrated. He sent me to hospital to get an IV of fluids, was back home 5-6 hours later.

Thank you for the replies everyone, i couldn't manage any water last night as no matter how many times I was sick the nausea didn't ease. I've managed a little water this morning and some paracetamol which I hope stays down as I feel like I've been hit by a bus 😩

As other posters have said, the important thing is to keep up your fluids. When I had hyperemisis, I used to melt ice cubes in my mouth and nibble on ice lollies.

If baby moving a lot that’s a good sign. Hopefully you feel better today and can get hydrated especially with warmer weather.
