School changed academies while I'm pregnant

Hello,

I wondered if anyone knew the answer...

I am a teacher and when I was 6 weeks pregnant, the school that I have worked with for 10 years changed from one academy to another. I am now 27 weeks pregnant and have realised that I have not been working at the new academy the school joined for 26 weeks (I am 8 weeks short at 25 weeks). Does anyone know if I will lose maternity allowance as a result? I haven't changed schools- but my employer changed. Thanks for any knowledge shared.

Were your terms and conditions transferred over under TUPE?

If so you should be fine.

You're 100% protected, term to Google is TUPE maternity pay.

It depends on the contract when the school changed hands.
