32 weeks Mum Guilt

Hi All,

I'm 32 weeks, and have a 4 and 6 year old. DP is away this weekend, weather is amazing, feel like should have them out somewhere but I just have absolutely no energy, feel drained and exhausted. We went to football and to the shop and came home, and they're now playing upstairs on their tablets. They're VERY happy to get to do this and tbf have been absolutely golden. Why do I feel like a useless lazy Mum though?!

I'm the same, 37 weeks tomorrow and my 9 and 6 year old have been left to their own devices the last few weeks. The guilt is rubbish and I'm trying not to be too hard on myself and remind myself that it's just temporary, there will be plenty more summer days coming up and once this baby is out I'll be able to do so much more with them. But it's so hard to do it all and have all the energy! I think there's a lot of pressure to make kids childhoods perfect, I think back to mine and days out were literally for birthdays only, most weekends you'd get dragged round DIY shops or to do food shopping and we would make up our own games in the garden, maybe some of that simplicity isn't all that bad for kids 🤣
