Hiiii wondering if anyone can help / share any similar experiences..

A day ago I had watery discharge/fluid that just trickled out, happened multiple times but I’m FTM and didn’t think much of it that day I used a thrush pessary and went to bed that night and it kept happening as I got up. woke up this morning and it had gone through my underwear and PJs as though I’d wet myself (it’s not urine)

Been mat triage this morning where iv had a monitor on, speculum and some test done to check whether it’s my waters leaking.. doctor has said it’s just thrush however iv had recurring thrush throughout the entire pregnancy and have not had any watery discharge or the feeling that water is uncontrollable coming away, has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know whether the tests they use can give a false negative? I’m just thinking I’d used the pessary which was coming away this morning when I went up & I do still have thrush discharge etc can the waters be missed due to this

If in doubt I'd seek a second opinion or ask your specific question to an Obs & Gynae doc or midwife. What you've described certainly sounds like possible waters going to me - mine were very similar. No harm to push for a second opinion as you will need to be careful of infection risk if they've gone. Not sure exactly how the test works for amniotic fluid or what can interfere with it. Good luck!

I had the similar - no thrush symptoms but very watery discharge that felt like it trickled out of me when I stood up or moved. I had a swab and they said it was thrush not waters so I used a pessary and it did put a stop to the leaking. That was about 6 week ago now and baby (32 weeks) is currently having a rave inside so must not have been waters for me! I do still have watery discharge but think that’s classic pregnancy plus it’s hot and sweaty right now😅 You could try a second pessary? However, if you’re worried, there’s no harm in heading back to hospital and asking to be retested to be absolutely sure it’s not waters
