Terrible heartburn / nausea at 25 weeks

I’m 25 weeks pregnant and was very fortunate to avoid morning sickness in the first trimester (although I did have heartburn and felt rubbish in the afternoons).

My heartburn calmed down after the 1st trimester but in the last couple of weeks has come back & is ten times worse than before !!! I barley slept last night as I felt so awful, just the worst heart burn that was making me feel so sick.

Has anyone else had this ? Am I stuck with it now for the rest of the pregnancy ?

I had this for 30 weeks, I felt horrendous. Didn't want to take medication but ended up getting omeprozole and was like a new woman. The difference was unbelievable.

@ScaryGabbyGabby 30 weeks, you poor thing !! I’ve also been reluctant to take anything but only so much milk I can drink. I did succumb to the Gaviscon the other day but it didn’t touch it.

I’m seeing the midwife next week so might mention it then

Omeprazole! I can still remember the relief.

Ice cream worked for me.

Struggled through most of my pregnancy with heartburn to the extent that I couldn’t lie down and had to sleep sitting up. I mentioned it to the registrar when I was attending the day clinic at around 35 weeks and they prescribed omeprazole. I was so worried about taking any meds, but this was honestly life changing.
I also worked out some foods that made it worse and avoided them for most of my pregnancy - tomatoes and chocolate were the hardest to avoid!
Don’t suffer without the meds.

The reflux I had about 20 weeks was horrible. Popped on omeprozole and it’s so much better. Some days I still need gaviscon but more often than not I barely have anything
