Just patiently sitting here waiting for my glow up 🤣
Just for a bit of fun, did anyone else experience this and at what week?

My aunt apparently looked fantastic for 9 months straight!
I currently look like an unkempt troll!

I have a nice shiny face due to all the progesterone, I hope this is not the glow everyone refers too, feel minging and gross.

FlaubertSyndrome · 21/06/2024 10:43

I only noticed that my hair, for the only time in my life, was completely fabulous -- bouncy, shiny, held a blowdry well. BUT I was clearly giving off something, because I started noticing some men giving me the eye on the street, and one actually propositioned me once, when I was about six months pregnant, in Kings Cross tube station. I nearly cracked a rib laughing and he went off, most affronted.

13 weeks here.....I have petechiae from vomiting, bloating, spots and dry skin....waiting for the glow!

Hair is looking good though!

Sopshef · 21/06/2024 11:03

Troll is right! However I've been a bit obsessed with stretch marks so my belly skin is the most moisturised it's ever been, possibly even glowing.

curiouscat1987 · 21/06/2024 11:11

Put it this way - if pregnancy were an item, it'd be taken to Trading Standards for misselling! Second pregnancy and ive yet to have any glow/good hair/general second trimester wellness. Just sickness, gestational diabetes, severe spd and lots of cramping. Im definitely not bitter or anything....😄

JRTfan · 21/06/2024 11:20

40 weeks tomorrow and my glow never came!
Actually have felt pretty normal all the way through, the feet and ankles are not pretty now but apart from a bump that's about it.
Was expecting the glossy hair, growing nails etc but nope.. however didn't get any of the bad stuff either so will take that!

LilyJessie · 21/06/2024 11:46

I fear I will be a no glow!
Oh well! Life goes on 🤣🤣

I'm still absolutely exhausted too! Despite iron being just fine... Such a magical time...

only 5 weeks in but I have noticed my skin is glowing i thought it was from the facegym facials i've been doing until i saw this thread

Peonies12 · 21/06/2024 16:25

I think the glow is a weird myth! I feel like I just look normal!

Kiwi23 · 21/06/2024 22:03

Iv got three girls already and pregnant with the the 4th and never had the glow lmao

ceruleansky · 21/06/2024 22:08

I have always had acne due to pcos and oily skin but ever since I've gotten pregnant, my skin has been clear. Hair was bad at the beginning but it's quite nice now without any kind of treatment.

jigglywigglyhungryhippo · 21/06/2024 22:11

Apparently yes I did. Huge as a whale but a much 'nicer face' according to friends and family 😂🤣

BabyFedUp445 · 21/06/2024 22:15

The only time I've been told I am "glowing" was when I had spent 2 hours getting ready, blow dry, everything. Getting fat has helped my wrinkles so I guess my make up was sitting nicely too. So it wasn't a glow, just fat and dolled up.

99% of the time I am a sweaty miserable mess 😆

Gulbekian · 21/06/2024 22:21

Yes! From about 36 weeks onwards. Lots of people commented on it - even my boss who was very proper and formal. It surprised me - I felt like a beached whale at the time 😂.

sarahc336 · 21/06/2024 22:22

The hair 👌🏻 second trimester onwards

WhyamInotvomiting · 21/06/2024 22:24

No, I have hated all my pregnancies.

LilyJessie · 22/06/2024 09:02

🤣🤣 most of these have had me giggling.
We are mostly in the same boat it seems.
At least some of you queens glow!!

I will definitely be a whale. But, a whale with a little baby so that's worth everything.

Off I go, to look haggered for another day 🤣🤣🤣
