Regarding the constipation, it's good to be prepared, but it's not guaranteed. I had my first poop about 28 hours after my C-section, and it was effortless. No trapped wind either. Which was lucky as I hate peppermint.

I believe, like a PP, that preparation was key. I was in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks prior to induction then C-section and was loaded up with lots of fruit and veggies in my meals (I do eat them normally, but they were very generous with portions). I don't like bran flakes, but the more fibre the better for that first post partum poop.

My friend has a c section the other week&'I asked her about it and she said that she didn't get any type of constipation or trapped wind so I really am hoping I don't get that. As I've never suffered with that so I am hoping I won't. I will try the bran cereal tho I don't want to do too much before my c section just in case
