Reduced movements

Hi,
I’m 37+5 weeks pregnant and I’ve already been into hospital today at 11:00am for reduced movements. The hospital had me on the monitor for 15 minutes before they told me everything was ok. I was still concerned as she only moved twice on the monitor and she’s booked me in for a scan on Thursday at 1:30pm. However, I am still very concerned over babies movements, she still isn’t moving as much and definitely not as strong. I don’t feel like the right thing to do is to wait until Thursday as I have a deep down feeling that something is wrong. Would you say it’s acceptable to go back up to the hospital again today or wait until the morning?
I have severe anxiety and one of them is that I’m not coming home with baby and I’ve been out on medication for my anxiety. Any advice would be helpful!
thank you :)

Hi everyone,
after another full day in the hospital. It’s been concluded hay babies growth is restricted and they want her out sooner rather than later. I’m scheduled for an urgent induction tonight at 8pm. Thank you all for your advice and I’ll let you know when baby is safe and sound earth side x

Best of luck for induction, hope all goes well.

Your gut instinct is never wrong.

RandomMess · 18/06/2024 19:47

So glad you trusted your instincts and stuck to them.

My inductions were all ok so try not to worry about it.

WappityWabbit · 18/06/2024 19:51

Thinking of you. Good luck 🤞

AnnieStar12 · 18/06/2024 19:51

Well done for advocating for yourself!
Good luck with the induction, wishing you a speedy labour 🤞

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 18/06/2024 19:52

Good luck OP!

Well done for relying on maternal instinct to investigate what might be happening. Good luck with the induction (enjoy the drugs if you need them!) and see you on the other side!

LittleMissSleepyUK · 18/06/2024 20:28

Good luck. Hope it all goes well

TwilightAb · 18/06/2024 20:33

Good luck! I had inductions for both of my babies and had a good experience with both. My first was 6 gestation to you as growth had slowed. My dd was born weighing 6 pound 1.

Moriquendi · 18/06/2024 20:38

Best of luck!! Think inductions are much better when it’s not your first baby so hoping you get a good one, they aren’t all awful.

Go back. No matter how much of a nuisance you feel, go back.

No one knows your baby's movements better than you, and the cost of doing nothing can be catastrophic.

As you've had repeat episodes of repeat movements and with being 37 weeks they may offer induction/c section. Better out than in if there's a risk.

Leftittothelastminute · 18/06/2024 20:40

Good luck op

How are you Op?

Anxietymummy · 20/06/2024 23:13

Hi everyone,
sorry for only just getting back to you all. It was a wirlwind to say the least. Induction was very positive and baby girl arrived 19/06 at 3:28pm. Very slow start to the induction but I went from 4cm to pushing and baby out in 28 mins. She weighed a good 6lbs and is completely healthy with no issues at all. So glad she’s here safe and we know for sure she is ok.
thank you for all your advice for me to do what I needed to do! X
