I had my baby a week ago and for different reasons haven't been able to breast feed I tried to pump a bit but I've been quiet poorly and mixed with the tiredness it fell by the way side and had to bottle feed . my question is , is it too late now ? I have a spectra pump i haven't used yet but I'm wondering should I even bother now or have I missed the boat ?

You haven't. For various reasons, my milk went away after a week giving birth.
I got an electric pump, and pumped every 2- 3 hours for like a week. It was hell, but my milk came back and I managed to breastfeed.

It's not too late, but it will be hard work.

Like you my BFing journey with my son was a shaky start but we ended up doing three and a half years.
Baby is more efficient at getting milk out than a pump - I don't respond well to them at all - so lots of feeding and skin to skin.

It can be done but it's hard work. Good luck!

You haven't. Its definitely not too late.

I was poorly after having my second. I wasn't able to start breastfeeding her until she was 7 days old.

Breastfeeding is much more effective and efficient than pumping. If you can get baby on to your breast as soon as possible you should be able to breastfeed. Feed on demand and be prepared to not move from the sofa for a few days. Just keep giving your breast as often as possible to get your supply going.
