Melted plastic food packaging - Pregnant

I’m 27 weeks pregnant and I’m worried about eaten melted plastic contaminated food.

Last night we fried some premade shop bought Dutch style pancakes, after I ate them I noticed a small piece of shrivel up plastic on the plate.

I am worried about the chemicals leaking into the food and harming my baby.

I’m assuming the plastic came from the packaging.

It looked like the heat from the frying pan had melted/started to disintegrate the plastic. It was shrivelled up, a tint of blue and easy to tear apart/almost waxy texture?

I googled it, and opened a can of worm down a microwaving plastic food containers rabbit hole, which I’ve done most of the pregnancy so far. So I’m really worried about my baby’s future health.

It will be fine. Plastics in food might be an issue but not a tiny one off piece. Stop Googling!

Please don't google. Everyone in the world will ingest plastic every day unfortunately! The placenta is doing a very good job of filtering what gets to the baby.
