What the hell am I meant to do? Fortunately he is driving but would it be easier if I just told him I was pg and feel like shit and may throw up in his car - or sit there pretending (if I can) I feel fine??

tell him you are recovering from a stomach bug and feel ropey. That is what I do (I have to entertain a lot in my job which is a real chore when I am suffering from MS and chucking up all the time!)

Plead bug/hangover? I don;t think he'll want many details - just say you're feeling a bit ropy and does he mind if you curl up and don't tlak to him (NB: he will prob be v pleased )

Agree with theyoungvisiter. there is a stomach bug going round at the moment so refer to that and say you are only just starting to feel better.

Play on the v v unwell thing, men won't tend to be as suspicious as women re potential pregnancies so he won't suspect a thing. tell him you feel rotten and might not be v good company - chances are, once the pressure is off, you may not feel quite as bad anyway.

Good luck. and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't considered that men are generally straightforward creatures who don't analyse things like women do - I just know if I tried the tomach bug with a female colleague, they would see through it straight away!

Must remember to pack some carrier bags in my handbag
