John Lewis,
Mamas and Papas,
Check google to see if you have an independent store near you - these often have staff who are really knowledgeable and dont necessarily push one brand over another.

Hi
John Lewis best for pushchairs as they have them all out on display and you can push them around. Mamas and papas don’t stock all the brands that JL do. I also found their staff really knowledgable

Mamas and papas but I'd also recommend
Car seat safety Uk Facebook group , I had no idea there was such a difference in car seats and safety so after educating myself I choose my buggy / travel set based on the safest most suitable car seat mamas and papas allow you to amend the car seat that comes with the travel set as well which was very handy.

Oh yes, totally agree about this car seat group! Often the car seats sold with travel systems are not the best so knowing which ones to look out for is really helpful (speaking from experience at buying a car seat that ended up being a really bad fit when DD arrived).

Smyths is a good shout Imo. Strollers, buggies, car seats and off toys! Plus nightlights and mobiles

We have a pram centre near us. It is more expensive so we intended to just take a look around, ask some questions and have a go folding them, feeling the weight etc to pick which model works for us best.

Actually found they had a deal which made them cheaper than John Lewis for the same pram, so worked out well.

Another vote for Smyth's. I bought two carseats there and both times the expertice from the sales assistants on both mechanics and safety was second to none.
