Hi

I had a BFP on 8th May but started bleeding on the evening of 18th May (after going to my best friends baby shower 😭). I bled until 23rd May.

Ive done a pregnancy test this morning and I'm sure there’s a line 🤞🌈

when should I take the date of my last period from? Does it differ with CP?

I really hope this is a sticky bean 💜

Fingers crossed for you. I’d put 18th May. Hopefully you’ll get to 12 week scan where they date the pregnancy properly so the LMP date is only a placeholder. And mention it to your midwife at your booking appointment (8-9 weeks).

Congratulations on your new pregnancy! I ovulate late, so I put the first date of my LMP to two weeks before when I know I ovulated, which turned out to be accurate when I had my 12 week scan. Normally ovulation is about 14 days before a positive test, so if you count back 28 days from the date of your positive test that should help the dates line up for them to get you booked in to your scan etc. at the right time. In my area you book in with the midwives via a paper form at your doctors surgery, so I used a blank area on the form to explain my workings out with my ovulation date, which my midwife was happy with. Perhaps you could do similar and explain your situation if you're able to?

@Peonies12 @Welshcake15 thank you both. I will put the 18th down and, like you say, if I’m lucky enough to get to 12 weeks I can be re-dated.

I think I will do an early scan too if I get to 7week x
