I can’t seem to catch a break with this pregnancy. Had brown bleeding in week 6/7 where it started right at the beginning of a bank holiday so I spent the whole time thinking mc (I’ve had lots of losses), and now I’m spotting pink again, just as the weekend hits and I’m about to go away for my partner’s 40th.

We did have sex last night and I’ve been rushing about today, so I hope that’s the reasons. I’m just exhausted by the constant worry. I really thought the second trimester would be a little less anxiety inducing.

Has anyone had this before?

Hey hun. It’s quite normal to spot after sex that early on I think. If there’s no pain and clots I think there’s nothing to worry about but you could give your EPU a call to check x

I was exactly the same as you with one of my pregnancies, reading your post brought it all back to me. It just seemed like the pregnancy of endless fear.

The brown blood early on was likely implantation bleeding, brown blood is usually considered old blood (yes there are exceptions but it is generally so). The pink spotting that I also had (while I was on holiday) at around the same time as you was explained to me as a sensitive cervix, certain activities could result in bleeding as the cervix is dealing with a lot of changes (again there are exceptions). I'm not medical but I followed pretty much the exact path as you and all was well. Obviously get checked out if you need peace of mind, just wanted you to know it's likely normal if not incredibly stressful. I hope the rest of your pregnancy is peaceful.
