Drinking before I found out I was pregnant

I have just tested positive. The test says 3+ weeks.
I took my coil out 2 months ago. We weren’t in a rush for anything but thought we would wait and see what happened. I wasn’t trying to avoid alcohol around my fertile window just in case.
About 3 weeks ago I felt really sick and dizzy. It was just after ovulation so I thought there might be a chance, although it seemed unlikely as it was the first possible time since removal of the coil. I took a test and it was negative.
Then a week later, my period came on yhe expected date. It was much lighter and shorter than normal but definite bleeding consistently for 4 days.
I was going on holiday that week and as I thought I was definitely not pregnant, I drank (quite a lot). Then the week I got home I had a work party and my sisters hen do and also drank a lot both nights.
This week I was bleeding again, only 1.5 weeks after my ‘period’ and was feeling sick and dizzy again. My boobs were also hurting. I had had sex last week so thought I would test again.
The weeks shown mean I will have been drinking excessively when I was pregnant!! I feel awful! I’m so worried this will impact the pregnancy and I just feel horrific!!

I went on a hen do before I knew I was pregnant and drank like a fish and it all worked out ok. It takes a couple of weeks for the egg to implant. I remember feeling petrified I'd harmed my baby, so I absolutely understand your worry, but he was huge and had no problems and I'm sure your baby will be the same. Lots of women drink before they realise they're pregnant, but you could speak to the midwife at your booking in appointment and I'm sure they'll reassure you. Congratulations!

I wouldn't worry. There are tons of people who are pregnant without knowing and they drink during the first weeks. And congratulations!

It’s very common i wouldn’t worry!

I did it and so did my gp when I went to her when I found out. She said we all do, in a general sense not 100% of women
