Hello!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I've just slipped over in the bath and landed on my bum with a bit of a bump! Should I be worried about causing harm to the pregnancy? If I've caused harm, how quickly will I know?

My husband's out at work and I don't want to worry him by phoning if I don't need to, but being home alone means my anxiety is through the roof!

Please help 😢

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine. So early on, it's so small and buried so deeply in the pelvis - it's very well protected. I slipped in my last pregnancy at about 4/5 weeks and was really worried (landed right on my coccyx with a big bump!). I'm rhesus negative so I need anti-d if I fall in a pregnancy. I called the hospital and the midwife said before 12 weeks they wouldn't give anti-d or worry about that kind of thing, because it's so well protected. Of course if you started to have pain or bleeding you should call your EPU but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Congratulations! Xx

Thank you so much, you've really put my mind at rest ❤️
It's such a responsibility growing a baby! I thought I'd really enjoy it but I'm finding it so stressful! 😅 xx
