Belly flopped onto my belly

I completely forgot I was pregnant and belly flopped onto the bed. Can’t believe I could be so stupid! I can’t remember whether I used my arms to take some of the fall or not. I don’t have any pain or bleeding but I’m worried I’ve hurt the baby. Can anyone advise?

How pregnant are you?

If it were that easy to get rid of a baby, then terminations would not be needed! Honestly it is just a wee blob surrounded by water and your flesh and is well protected. Please don't worry.

Babies are very well protected. It's a decent design.

I'm an accident magnet.

I tripped over my cat when I was pregnant with my first and slammed sideways straight into the arm of my sofa.

I slipped on a hardwood floor and went down like a sack of spuds when I was pregnant with my second.

I was bruised to fuck and back but they were fine.

That said, there is nothing wrong with seeking reassurance. Call your midwife and ask for advice.

You should be ok but I agree they are pretty tough!

If you're rhesus negative I'd suggest getting checked out for ease of mind, but otherwise honestly baby should be fine. Had you belly flopped onto concrete you'd still likely be fine but I'd be more concerned.

@musingonhol You'll be absolutely fine! My toddler regularly flops onto my pregnant belly 😂

I fell down 5 stairs when pregnant with my son, slammed my bump and couldn’t stop crying.

He turned out just fine! Try to stay as chilled as possible. Your body has an amazing ability to protect what’s in it. X

I flopped down on my belly on the floor during a yoga class at 20 weeks on holiday. Didnt vet checked out out but my baby was fine.

On the bed you'll be fine. Assume no pain?

At 20 weeks I slipped on ice and went flying on my bump! Was terrified but midwives just checked me but weren't concerned! They said there's so much cushioning still at this gestation 😊
