does anyone know what the maternity pay is for a band 6? I’m spreading it over 9 months and can’t seem to find a effective calculator online which deducts tax etc and tells you exactly what to expect. I’m trying to save as much as possible before November. Also what are the qualifying weeks? I wana work as much as possible before hand. TA x

8 weeks full pay, 18 weeks half pay plus SMP and 13 weeks SMP - exact pay depends on where you are in your banding. Qualifying week I think is the 25th and the 8 weeks leading up to it determine mat pay.

There was an online calculator and I used it in my last pregnancy but haven't been able to find one this time around. Work did sent me a break down of estimated pay last time but only after the qualifying week.

You can ask HR/Workforce to send you the breakdown of how you’re taking it and they will send it to you in a table of what to expect each month.

NHS Scotland or England as rates of pay are different?

Also as others have said you can get a breakdown for your entire maternity, however it will be just before you leave for maternity leave. Also have a look in employee handbook for the qualifying weeks, there's an 8 week period which make up your qualifying weeks.
