I will be applying for maternity allowance about 3/4 months late for personal reasons. However, I am afraid that my explanation will not be good enough for them to make the exception and pay me the full amount. Can anyone with experience in this area (late claim, HMRC, job centre) help with what type of reasons are deemed acceptable?
What excuses have people used? I’ve been told they can’t tell me what is deemed acceptable..
