Morning sickness and cyclizine

I'm 6w+5 and for the last week have felt sick pretty much all day, everyday (luckily not been sick). I've been eating little and often, tried ginger, sea bands etc, but only made a marginal difference.

I had a GP appointment on Friday and mention the sickness. Doctor prescribed cyclizine. I suffer with anxiety and I'm now in two minds whether to take it (especially after reading the leaflet that came with the pills)! I keep thinking I'll put off taking them until it gets worse and I'm actually sick. Am I just being silly suffering through the sickness when I have something that might help?

I had to take them but I had the same concerns and put it off taking them… I then couldn’t function without them being sick constantly I was miserable. I then found taking one at night and one in the morning helped and when I started to feel better I came back of them. I am now 39 weeks and still have sickness but just use them when I feel I need them

I had terrible hg and was so sick while of preg (and why I have one lol)

I took it from think 6/7w and tho helped I was still very sick and queasy and spitting lots (hg fellows will understand that)

I didn't worry about the possibly side effects as doc have to tell you

But if you look on any medication it will say what terrible side effects may get and often don't

I had awful HG and had to try a fair few medications to get it under control. The doctor told me not to take too many so I was leaving it for ages before actually taking them and then being sick anyway cos I'd left it too late. But to be honest, I was being too sick I couldn't function so eventually just took whatever meds they suggested which (after trialling a few!) has made a massive difference thank god!
Only you'll know if the risk of side effects outweigh the sickness for you but I definitely needed the meds. I'm 22 weeks now and the twins are doing fine

UPDATE

7+3 and managed the last week without taking them, but today I have been sick twice so think it might be time!

They helped me with my HG. Like others here, I'd leave long gaps between taking the pills and then be admitted to hospital for a drip to be put in.

I took cyclizine throughout my pregnancy, particularly the first 20 weeks as was vomiting several times a day. It did stop the vomiting and dampen the nausea but it was still there. Prochlorperazine helped me more so don't be afraid to ask for others if cyclizine doesn't work for you!
