Hi, I used oven cleaner today just on oven door and Hob. Left for about half an hour and then cleaned with bare hands and cloth. I’m 10 weeks pregnant and didn’t even think about it until after? Will baby be ok? Sorry I’m so nervous first time mum

Yup, you'll be fine.

Hey. First time mum here too. It’ll be fine. I’ve started wearing a mask to clean now though, I’m 34+2 so started wearing one around 20 weeks just to stop me freaking myself out

You aren't the same person who worried about peeing when there was bleach in the loo too are you? If so you are going to have a long and stressful pregnancy. May I suggest you treat yourself to a pregnancy book and have a read and then perhaps you will be able to calm down a little and enjoy the pregnancy.

You will be fine, I used oven pride the other day but used gloves because that stuff burns! You can be a bit more sensitive to chemical smells and also sometimes skin can be more sensitive, so if you find that you struggle with any products just put some gloves on and/or mask ☺️

Thank you very much 🥰

Thanks for posting. I am also just past 10 weeks. I too worry about things as well and think it’s only normal to worry and you’re not the only one who does. Someone else may have even thought the same but just haven’t asked so you have probably helped other new mums out there by asking too! Hopefully you feel reassured by the (mostly) helpful responses ☺️ x congratulations x
