How to calculate conception date from LH surge

I used the clearblue ovulation test. It said no fertility on Sat May 4th, and peak fertility Sun May 5th. So I never had a high fertility result. My last negative result was Wed May 22nd, and then my first positive result was Wed May 29th. From what I've read, ovulation happens 1-2 days after the LH surge, the sperm fertilises the egg about a day afterwards. Is this the point that'd be called conception? Sorry if it's a daft question, I've got a lot to learn as a first timer! I'd appreciate any help.

Did you keep testing your opks after the peak day on the 5th? What day of your cycle was that and are you usually regular? It's also possible you had a second surge. Did you DTD again after (around 14th-16th May?) as this would seem more likely if your first BFP was 29th. I think your understanding is correct though. Typically, after your true peak opk, you would ovulate within 12-36hrs after peak reading. The egg survives approx another 12 hours. So up to 48hrs after peak is key time for conception. Then implantation would typically take 6-12 days. Hence 14 day luteal phase considered the ideal/typical and suggested to test after missed AF. The people getting early BFPs (around 8/9dpo) are the ones ovulating and implanting on the earlier side. Hope that helps!
