Hate the smell of my sofa

I’m 8 weeks 5 days pregnant, my nausea has really ramped up the past few days. At the moment I cannot bear to be in the living room or anywhere near it because the sofa stinks like greasy rotting meat to me, it literally makes me gag. My fiancé thinks I’m being silly and doesn’t smell anything. I feel awful because I want to spend time with him and the dog but I just can’t bear to be in there so I’m spending all the time I’m not at work, in bed! It’s the only place I don’t feel sick. I can’t even describe the smell, it’s like really cheap old greasy bacon. Absolutely revolting! 🤢 what can I do?! Has anyone else had this?

Honestly I don’t think there’s much you can do - I couldn’t go in my kitchen for weeks during my first trimester! No matter how much my husband cleaned it I still thought the whole thing smelled of sewers.

It will get better! Just maybe not for a little while.

I couldn’t bare the smell of my partner in my first trimester. Even when he was fresh out the shower he had the horrible smell! I couldn’t share a bed with him or sit next to him!
it soon passed about 10 weeks but was awhile at the time

My whole house smelt so so horrible early pregnancy, I couldn’t bare to be in it. It did get better though once the sickness lifted! Don’t throw the couch away!
