Spotting and mild cramping every day since BFP

Just wondering if anyone else had this in early pregnancy and everything turned out OK.

I was over the moon to get my BFP a couple of weeks ago. But then I started bleeding the same day and it hasn't really stopped for more than a few hours since. Always accompanied with mild cramping. Most of the time it's just pink or brown spotting (which doesn't worry me) but every few days I'll have a light, bright red bleed. This last happened on Monday and I was worried enough to ring 111, who referred me to the EPU. The EPU said they won't see me at 6 weeks until they know my Hcg levels, so I had to book that through my GP for their first available appointment, which is next week.

I'm 6 weeks, 4 days now by my last period and it's starting to feel a bit late for implantation bleeding. I've had two successful pregnancies previously and never had this much spotting. Anxiety levels are through the roof!

@Ttctwentyfour I am 6w+6. I have had cramping throughout this pregnancy so far. Yesterday I had a bleed which started as brown and then turned red. I thought the worst! I was referred to the EPU where they scanned me. Was measuring on the dot and saw a heartbeat. No reason for the bleed. The person I saw said bleeding and cramping during the early weeks is quite common.
Could you get referred to the EPU or have private scan for reassurance?

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear all is going well despite the cramping and bleeding. That gives me some reassurance. Yes, I think I'll book a private scan if I'm not referred back to the EPU after the blood test.

This week I have had very similar although they were dating me at 9 weeks (I'm actually 7). I also had some pain on one side so I was referred and scanned a couple of days later to check it wasn't ectopic. I was really expecting the worst by that point as bleeding was quite heavy (mainly after the toilet), but it's healthy. They found a haematoma which is bigger than the fetus itself. It still feels a bit nervy as I'm still bleeding, but seeing the heartbeat was reassuring. I was going to book a private scan too if they hadn't booked me in, some places do scans specifically if you've had bleeding but I can't tell if it's a scam for an extra £25!

Fantastic news. You must have been so relieved.

£25 extra because of bleeding?! Yeah, that's ridiculous!
