Labetalol Side effects - will they calm down?

Hi, I’ve just been put on Labetalol 100mg twice a day as my bo is high. I’m nearly 18 weeks pregnant with my second child. I ended up having pre-eclampsia first time round so started Labetalol around 34 weeks and was already in hospital then. I honestly can’t remember side effects.
However, this time, I’m waking up in the night after second dose with severe, near migraine headaches. Exhausted. Throwing up. Today and yesterday I can only really do the bear minimum with my little one to avoid feeling any worse. I can’t work, or exercise. I feel awful. My midwife said to stick with it for now but it’s not really having a big impact on my BP either. I don’t think I can manage weeks of this before it settles. Anyone else have similiar experiences on Labetalol? When did it get better?

I'd be calling or going in to triage and asking to speak to a Doctor.

Thanks, I’ve already spoken to the GP and midwife and they advised I give it more time. Said these side effects are common but can take a few weeks to settle. I’m only on day 2.5 atm ☹️, feel awful. But the other option has even more side effects apparently.
