Hi ladies,

I am 12w5d and having a super rough week. We’ve had a scan privately on Saturday (11w6d) where everything was ok but 3 days ago I started having terrible back pain coupled with cramping, sharp pains etc. it lasted a couple of days on and off and I’ve had no bleeding or spotting (but I am on progesterone due to previous mmc).

im super nervous as our main scan isn’t until Monday and I just need reassurance from anyone who might also have had lots of cramps etc around this time.

im also constipated, but for the past couple of days my other symptoms have gone and my stomach doesn’t feel as hard!

one worried person over here 😢 x

This is me! Gas cramps are horrible!!! As a person with a history of MC it’s hell..
you worry so much
but try and listen to your body, are you gassy/constipated, does anything ease the pain?
I’ve had to stop eating certain foods (not that I’m managing to eat much right now! To help ease it)

if worried you could always go see your EPAU?

I’ve tried just to drink more warm water and peppermint tea which helps a little!

I think I’m just panicking as I feel less pregnant now than a couple of days ago since the cramping 😢 just trying to remind myself the scan was fine on Saturday… but it’s so hard when you feel like things have gone wrong!

Hope you’re ok, thank you for replying! X

I know exactly what you mean, my symptoms just eased so much after 12 weeks! I’m now between 13-14 and as much as I’m grateful not to feel so awful it is always a good reminder that all is ok!

i think what you’re going through is totally normal - although being so anxious isn’t nice is it..

just try and get through the weekend, distract yourself.. and Monday will be here before you know it.

in my last pregnancy I went to the maternity unit so many times I felt so bad but they were always saying it is better to be safe and know than to be scared at home. So if in your gut something doesn’t feel right, go and see them x

Thank you ☺️

I did go to the GP on weds who referred me up to hospital the same day, but I was told to go home as no bleeding and they don’t have sonographers available for two weeks 😢 so sort of feel left to it!

can’t have a private scan as I had one last Saturday and their policy is to leave 7 days inbetween!!

ifs going to be a long few days x x
