Hi ladies , For the last 2 months I've had a chemical pregnancy. I'm nervous as I'm a day late. Do you see a line?

I see it! Congratulations! 🎉

rainbow616 · 25/05/2024 10:08

I can see it too!! 🤗

Simone86 · 25/05/2024 10:18

I do see a line. However, it’s worth remembering that FRERs were withdrawn from high street sale a year ago, due to second lines being visible straight from the packet. I also wonder if, being a day late, you’d expect the line to be stronger?

I will keep everything crossed for you. 🌺

leanne2105 · 25/05/2024 10:46

@VolvoFan @Simone86 @rainbow616 Thanks ladies 💗

The picture doesn't do it justice as I can see a baby pink link and a dark line so maybe it's baby pink as I'm early (one day late)

My previous tests when pregnant where grey lines and then baby pink.

I feel like I can't smile or get excited about it yet due to the past two months.

20th March (4 weeks and 2 days)
26th April ( 5 weeks and 3 days)

Today I make it 4 weeks and 1 day.

Do you have any easy@home tests? They were the first ones to show a line for me and they’re very reliable.

VolvoFan · 25/05/2024 11:02

I think the best thing to do now is to stay away from the pregnancy tests, they're only going to cause more anxiety for you, especially taking your previous losses into account. You're likely associating positive tests with imminent loss. Put it out of your mind for the timebeing and when you feel ready, contact your midwife.

@Simone86 I've just done one and it's faint , never used these before but I see that they are good. X

@VolvoFan I'm going to keep busy in the garden today painting. I've got a family meal tonight hence why I've done a test as I don't want to be drinking. I think I'll re test next Sat and see what happens x

I see it! For me that is much more encouraging than the FRER, and it’s how mine looked in the very early days too. How sure are you about your ovulation date?

crazycatlady89 · 25/05/2024 11:21

@Simone86 I've not been tracking ovulation as we are only 4 months into TTC. I've been tracking my period on Flo since last Aug as I came off the pill. My periods are regular so when Flo states due Tues I come on Tues. I know Flo does a rough guess of ovulation and we have BD whenever we felt like it.

Flo predicts between 4th and 12 May

Okay, I wonder if you ovulate slightly later in your cycle rather than the standard day 14. That would mean you’re not as far as you think, hence the very faint line. I think the best thing to do, as @VolvoFan mentioned, is try to relax for now and then do another easy@home tomorrow morning!

In those really early days I found my SMU gave a slightly strongly line than my FMU. Got everything crossed for you!

crazycatlady89 · 26/05/2024 07:03

@VolvoFan @Simone86 Good Morning Ladies ❤️ I couldn't help but test again .... BOOM .... I'm pregnant 🌈

I'm going to try and relax now and test next Sat and see if I get a 3+

I'm due to go on a 14 mile walk next sun ... Do you think I'll be OK? Xx

Congratulations! I think you will be ok walking if you normally do that sort of length walk. I do regularly and haven’t stoned since finding out I’m pregnant and have another weekend of walking planned for next week. Just take it easy if you need to and take plenty of snacks and water!

VolvoFan · 26/05/2024 09:30

Oh that's adorable! And yes you'll be okay. Just stay well hydrated, plenty of food and pace yourself, no over-exertion. I wish you a happy and uneventful pregnancy.

Simone86 · 26/05/2024 09:43

Oh good morning @crazycatlady89 how wonderful! Congratulations and hoping everything goes well. The advice is that you can carry on at a level that you are used to, so if that walk is normal for you then go for it! Lots of water and take a break if you need it 😊

crazycatlady89 · 27/05/2024 10:01

I'm 4 weeks and 3 days now.

I've been testing with the easy at home tests for line progression... What do you think @VolvoFan @Simone86 @LS888 @rainbow616

Congratulations OP! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy!

LS888 · 01/06/2024 07:15

Congratulations @crazycatlady89 fingers crossed for a 3 week plus!! 🤞🏻

Simone86 · 01/06/2024 08:29

Great news! Just to add, don’t worry if you don’t get your 3+ next weekend. I didn’t get mine even though I had a blood test at the time which showed that my HCG was far above the supposed 3+ ‘threshold!’

rainbow616 · 01/06/2024 23:03

@crazycatlady89 congratulations! Completely agree with pp. if you can help it (😜) don't test again. I know it's hard but it's so easy to stress out over a line that doesn't get any darker or the 3+ weeks etc. So happy for you! Xx

crazycatlady89 · 03/06/2024 15:06

Thank you all :) I completed the 14 mile walk yesterday. I kept myself hydrated and ate when I felt the need to eat.

I have registered my pregnancy with the midwives and they have told me that I am 5 weeks and 3 days.

They have booked me in for a blood test on Thursday 27th June. They have also requested a scan date.

Keep you posted xx
