Anyone experiencing this? Lightheaded for sitting up straight too long

Has anyone else experienced this specific symptom? I’m 18 weeks and this has come on in the last 3 days and I am starting to feel quite concerned.

It took me a couple of days to make the link that this only seems to happen when I am sitting up straight for more than 30ish mins - such as sitting at my desk when working or seated at a restaurant. I feel super sickly and struggle to hold my head up unsupported- I start to feel better when I lie down or stand up.

When I try and search this problem on the internet I’m struggling to find anything, which worries me that it isn’t a common symptom to only get this when seated.

I contacted my midwife and was really specific that this only happens when sitting up straight in a chair, but her reply was quite generic about “dizziness being a common symptom of pregnancy”.

Has anyone experienced the same? Does it go away after a while? I’m worried something is cutting off bloodflow and it’s harming the foetus.

Thank you xx
