copper coil failure stories?

Hi would like to hear stories if anyone has fallen pregnant with the coil? have had the copper coil since January this year and I’m now 6 days late - was feeling very sick and throwing up last week so im abit paranoid now but cant bring myself to do a test😖I’ve been told its pretty rare to get pregnant on the coil

Yes my best friend. It didn’t end happily though I’m afraid and she was 12 weeks pregnant or more when she found out.

Not rare if it’s not in the right place.
Take a test ASAP as you’ll need to check where the pregnancy is and where the coil has ended up.

it was in an appropriate location, and thankfully was easily removed very early on without affecting my ds.

thank you for your reply ladies going to do a pregnancy test today and hope for the best although dont have any symptoms this week. @Toowittwo did yours move out of place? if so did it cause any pain for you to know something wasnt right apart from the fact your af was late?

Yes. She’s 37. I didn’t realise I was pregnant for some time as my periods were always very irregular and I didn’t put on any weight till the fifth month.

I did and I know 3-4 other people who did, too.

I just knew I was pregnant. It had ruptured my uterus, probably on insertion 6 months before.
