Anterior placenta - feeling movement

I'm 17 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy) with an anterior placenta.
I keep being told I'm unlikely to feel any movement for a while due to it being my first and the anterior placenta, however I think I'm feeling flutters.
Could I be, or am I just imagining it? With it being my first I'm not sure what it will really feel like.
Has anyone been in a similar position and felt flutters this early on?

I felt nada until third trimester. But everyone's different

I had one with my first, I felt bubbles at 16 weeks then I didn't get a proper kick until 23 weeks.
And even after that first kick it was few and far between until he was bigger.

What I will say though, you will learn when he has his moments etc and if you're worried don't think it's because of the placenta, go in and get checked.
I was in several times.

I have an anterior placenta and felt flutters from around 16/17 weeks. Now 24 weeks and feel full blown movements a lot more than I ever thought I would have with it being at the front

I have anterior placenta and felt very occasional tiny movements maybe starting around 18 weeks. Not every day but every few days. My first pregnancy too. Now 21+4 and the last four or five days I am noticing him often through the day, bigger and clearer movements, so it's taken that long to become frequent

I started feeling movements fairly early on with my second (first was a posterior placenta), but sporadically, and only low down near my left hip, which corresponded to where baby was on scans. I would swear it started around 13 weeks, but it was definite flutters by 16 weeks. As the feeling was only so low down I knew the placenta was anterior before the 20 week scan confirmed it!

Fortunately I had a very active baby who seemingly loved to pummel every bit of my uterus that wasn't covered by the placenta. So no worries about movement.

Thank you. What I'm feeling is quite low down too

Yes, I felt movements (small kicks) from 18 weeks with anterior placenta.
With my second, 17 weeks with posterior placenta.

Thank you. I was worried I was just imagining it all, but definitely been feeling something today!
