Different pregnancy symptoms after a miscarriage?

Hello,

I had a missed miscarriage (MMC) in April. We found out at about 7.5 weeks that nothing had grown since 5 weeks, so it was an early loss. I went for the surgical management option.

Long story short, I haven’t had a period yet since the MMC. We’d intended to wait until after my period but we misjudged ovulation and ended up DTD right in my fertile days (used OPK to check).

When I was pregnant I had huge sore boobs from about 6dpo and that was pretty much the only symptom.

Fast forward to now - I’m 10dpo and don’t have any symptoms at all. Boobs are not remotely sore. I want to wait until at least 12dpo to test so that it’s a bit more definitive.

It’s probably stupid, but part of me is like well I was pregnant less than 2 months ago, so if I was again, why would my symptoms be so different if they’re in such close proximity?

The stories I’ve read generally seem to be about pregnancies with long gaps in between, or between a first and second child, where I can imagine the symptoms might be really quite different for each. I can’t find so much about pregnancy symptoms specifically after miscarriage, especially being as close together as 2 months apart.

My question:

Has anyone had a miscarriage with symptoms in the TWW, and then gone on to another BFP with no symptoms? I know every pregnancy is different but I’m wondering whether to discount myself cause I have zero symptoms this cycle.

Thanks for any advice! 💜

Hi Purplecolouroffunk, not had the experience you are looking for but as you may remember from another thread we are on, I Aakso had an MMC and awaiting a BFP. I had mine in tge Autumn though. I dont believe, if my exhaustive reading and research is correct, that you should assume the next pregnancy will be the same, no matter how close together they are. I dont believe that will make any difference. You might get the same symptoms, but.,, I absolutely dont think you can discount yourself. The TWW is awful, isnt it!!
Good luck x

@Carportforme thank you! I do remember the other thread 🙂

I know you’re probably right, just so hard not to feel demoralised by it when I had symptoms before. But I guess you never know!

I hate the TWW! Good luck to you too 😊💜

My TWW / early symptoms were very similar with my MC pregnancy, and current pregnancy (21 weeks). But in the MC pregnancy, I never really got any symptoms, and those I did have, disappeared very fast about 2 weeks before I had the MC (it was spontaneous, didn't have any scan). This time my symptoms got worse from 6 weeks until about 13 weeks then got better, and have been far worse.
