Am in labour?

I'm 34 weeks with baby number 5. Since 10am I've been getting severe lower back pain. It is identical to back labour pain I had in my last labour.
The thing that makes me think maybe it's not and could just be a backache is. I was checked yesterday as id been having mild contractions but cervix was closed? So surely not?

Either way the pain is so bad it's just all in the back.
I can't stand properly, sit up or walk, i had to get a taxi home whilst out after half hour as it was just to much pressure on my spine.
I will call them but I don't want to waste any one's time when I was seen yesterday.

Omg im 31 weeks today and I’ve had cramping and bad lower back pain and diarrhoea since yesterday but I’ve just put it down to braxton hicks. Ring triage and see what they say hun, I ended up in there a few weeks ago and they said my cervix was closed but done a swab and it come back positive for pre-term Labour. In the end all was ok but maybe to ease your mind it’s worth a check up. I always apologies to them that I’m wasting their time but they always say that’s what they are there for

I think I'll call them. I had protein in my wee yesterday and they wanted to re test but forgot to do it. And now I've got a head ache and swollen feet. God knows what is going on. Cannot wait to give birth and get it over and done with 😞. Hope you feel better too x

My labour started with back pain that eventually started to come and go regularly! If you hadn't had protein in your wee I'd suggest just waiting it out unless you have any more signs, but considering it could be a UTI I'd give them a ring. Good luck x

If you have protein in your wee, a headache and swollen feet, have they discussed preeclampsia with you? I'd be contacting triage anyway, regardless of the backache with those symptoms.
